For Earth Month we are proud to present the Meet Me at the Park Earth Month campaign to help improve parks across the country! You can ask a grown-up to go to MeetMeAtThePark.org and vote for a favorite park project in one of 15 selected cities to receive a $20,000 park grant. If your city is not one of the 15 selected, they also can nominate your own city to receive a grant!

Meet Me at the Park is a collaboration between the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and The Walt Disney Company to bring the magic of parks and recreation to children and families across the United States. Voter Sweepstakes Official Rules
Overview: The National Recreation and Park Association (“NRPA” or “Sponsor”), in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company is presenting this voting campaign to provide communities with resources to improve local parks. NRPA will determine (in its sole discretion) three (3) designated parks (“Park Project[s]”) in fifteen (15) different cities located within the fifty (50) United States and/or D.C. (“Designated City” or “Designated Cities”) to participate in the NRPA Meet Me at the Park Promotion (the “Promotion”). In addition, the public will have the opportunity to nominate a city within the fifty (50) United States and/or D.C., if not one of the participating Designated Cities (“Nominated City”).
Voting Period: Voting/nomination begins at 12:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) on April 1, 2018 and concludes at 11:59 pm ET on April 30, 2018 (“Voting Period”). For each vote submitted during the Voting Period, voters will earn an entry into the NRPA Meet Me at the Park Voter Sweepstakes (for more details, see full Sweepstakes Official Rules available online at http://www.meetmeatthepark.org).
Voter Eligibility: Voters must be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of vote. Employees of NRPA, Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., The Walt Disney Company, any of their respective parent companies (if applicable), subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates and related companies, and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to vote.
How to Participate: The Park Projects will be posted on the Meet Me at the Park website online at http://www.meetmeatthepark.org (the “Website”).

Nominations and votes are collectively referred to as “votes”.
Finalist Voting/Determination of Park Project/Nominated Grant Recipient/Grants:
The Park Project that receives the highest number of valid votes from each Designated City (15 total, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) will be awarded Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) in the form of a grant to the responsible park/recreation agency (Grant Recipient) to implement the winning project.
The Nominated City that receives the highest number of valid nominations will be awarded Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) in the form of a grant to the park and recreation agency (Grant Recipient) that oversees the parks system of the Nominated City. This agency must use the $20,000 grant for a park project within the winning Nominated City that promotes healthy living, increases youth’s access to sports and/or connects youth to nature. The park and recreation agency of the winning Nominated City, in their sole discretion, will determine which park within the city will receive the Grant.
Notification of Grant Recipients: The Designated Cities will be notified of the potential Park Project Grant Recipient by the Sponsor on or about May 9, 2018 and will be required to confirm acceptance of the Grant by May 16, 2018. The park and recreation agency for the potential Nominated City Grant will be notified by Sponsor on or about May 15, 2018 and will be required to confirm acceptance of the Grant and provide any additional documentation by May 23, 2018. If a potential Park Project Grant Recipient is disqualified or cannot accept the Grant for any reason, an alternate Grant Recipient will be determined by the Sponsor with the next highest number of valid votes. If the potential Nominated City Grant Recipient is disqualified or cannot accept the Grant for any reason, an alternate Grant Recipient will be determined by the Sponsor with the next highest number of valid nominations.
General Voting Restrictions: Limit one (1) vote per Park Project per Designated City and one (1) vote for a Nominated City per day for a total of sixteen (16) votes per day per person and/or email address per day. Votes received from any person or email address in excess of the stated limitation (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) will be void.
General Conditions: Administrator’s clock will be the official timekeeper for this Promotion. Where any two (2) or more eligible Park Projects/Nominated Cities that have an equal number of votes at the conclusion of the Voting Period, a committee decision with the committee made up of the Sponsor, Administrator, The Walt Disney Company, and representatives of the park recreation agency, in their sole discretion, will select the Grant Recipient(s) based on the most deserving Park Project/Nominated City. In the event of a dispute or if for any other reason Sponsor deems it necessary or appropriate, Sponsor reserves the right to make the final determination as to which of the Park Project/Nominated City will be declared the Grant Recipient. Designated Cities, Park Projects, and Nominated Cities are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
Votes will not be accepted prior to or after the Voting Period. All votes submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
By participating in this Promotion, participants/Grant Recipients agree to comply with and be bound by these rules. Failure to comply with the rules may result in a voter’s or Grant Recipient’s disqualification at the discretion of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the voting details and voting dates at any time in Sponsor’s sole discretion. All interpretations of these rules and the decisions of Sponsor relating to this voting process/Grant Recipient determination are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion.
Any votes that are believed to have been made fraudulently, including participation in a syndicate or via any form of machine-assisted intervention enabling computer-generated multiple entries may be disqualified. Use of any device to automate a vote is prohibited, including but not limited to software-generated, robotic, programmed, script, macro or other automated votes. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to determine the Park Project and/or Nominated City with the most valid votes and to disqualify any individual (and remove any votes from that individual) it suspects or finds: (a) to have used a software-generated, robotic, programmed, script, macro or other automated Facebook Share, Twitter tweet, online/WAP vote; (b) to have tampered with the Promotion; (c) to be acting in violation of these rules; or (d) to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Sponsor reserves the right to remove votes at its sole discretion.
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected votes, which will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any vote, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the voter. The "authorized account holder" of an email address, is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your online service may apply. Standard data rates may apply if voting via mobile device.
If for any reason any aspect of the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical or system failures or disruption, ‘Acts of God’ or terrorist attacks, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion or for any reason Sponsor deems it necessary, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and reserves the right in its sole discretion to determine the outcome of the Promotion, in their sole discretion.
No Liability; Release: Administrator, Sponsor, The Walt Disney Company, and any of their respective parent companies (if applicable), affiliated companies, related companies, sponsors, subsidiaries and advertising agencies, and any entity associated with this Promotion, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) difficulty accessing telecom systems; (ii) errors in transmission; (iii) service outage or delays or for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email on account of any technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or the site or combination thereof; (iv) any incomplete, lost, late, delayed, misdirected or garbled votes or failure to receive votes; (v) injury or damage to participant’s or to any other person’s computer or mobile device related to or resulting from participating in, or downloading materials or software, or attempts to participate in or download materials or software related to this Promotion or (vi) failures or malfunctions of phones (including wireless phones/handsets), phone lines or telephone systems, cellular equipment towers, telephone systems or wireless services or other communications malfunctions. Released Parties are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Released Parties that may cause the voting to be disrupted or corrupted; (ii) typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the rules or (iii) any errors in the announcement of Grant Recipients.
Participants/winning Park Projects/Nominated Cities assume all liability for any injury or damages caused or claimed to be caused by its use of Grant and release the Released Parties and any party associated with the production or exhibition of the Promotion and their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, parents, subsidiaries and affiliates from any and all claims, causes of action or liability (including damages caused or claimed to be caused) arising out of participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance/use of any grant, including without limitation, liability from personal injury, death or property damage.
The Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. Any attempt by a participant or any other individual to deliberately damage or tamper with the Promotion, or otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Released Parties reserve the right to seek damages (including attorneys’ fees) and/or other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Disputes: Participants/Grant Recipients agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion, or Grant awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and solely and exclusively in a federal or state court located in Virginia; Participants/Grant Recipients submit to sole and exclusive personal jurisdiction to said courts in the State of Virginia for any such dispute and irrevocably waives any and all rights to object to such jurisdiction; (b) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participation in this Promotion but in no event attorneys' fees; and (c) under no circumstances will participant/Grant Recipient be permitted to obtain awards for and participant/Grant Recipient hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of any Grant Recipient or the Released Entities in connection with this Promotion shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Virginia, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules of provisions (whether of the State of Virginia the United States, or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Virginia.
Data Collection: Sponsor collects personal information from voters/Grant Recipients when they participate in the Promotion for use in administration of the Promotion. When voting, participant may be asked to consent to receive promotional emails and information about Sponsor. Consenting to receive such emails and information is optional, and is not necessary to vote in the Promotion, nor will it increase or improve their chances of winning. The information collected is subject to the Privacy Policy located at http://www.nrpa.org/About-National-Recreation-and-Park-Association/the-fine-print/. By participating in the Promotion, participants agree to Sponsor’s collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.

What is the Meet Me at the Park Earth Month campaign? Who can vote and/or nominate? Everyone! However, you must be a legal resident of the U.S. states and the District of Columbia and 18 or older to participate.
Is there an incentive for voting and/or nominating? Yes. For each vote and/or nomination you cast, you will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win a GoPro HERO5 prize pack.
How will I know if I won the GoPro HERO5 prize pack? NRPA will use the email address provided at registration to contact the potential winner on or about May 15, 2018. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, fails to provide any requested information (if applicable), or prize is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits the prize.
How do I nominate a city that is not one of the 15 designated cities? After you select a state, select the city that you want to nominate. You can return to the site once per day to nominate. At the end of the campaign, the city with the most nominations will receive a $20,000 grant. NRPA will contact the local park and recreation agency and they will be responsible for deciding which park within the city will receive the grant.
Can one of the 15 designated cities also be the nominated city? No, the designated cities are ineligible to also be the nominated city.
What are the requirements for being selected as the nominated city? The park and recreation agency that governs the nominated city must confirm participation and select one local park in that district to receive the $20,000 grant by May 23, 2018. The agency must use the grant for a park improvement or program that connects kids to nature, inspires healthy living and/or increases youth’s access to sports.
